Our Specialty Area Mentors (SAMs) serve an essential role in our SLPD program. Your SAM will guide you throughout the culminating project process. Given the diversity of interest in the SLPD student body, students are not limited to NU or even CSD faculty when identifying a SAM. All SAMs must be experts in the areas in which they are advising, and the SLPD committee will aid students in identifying and/or verifying their SAMs.
